Profender Dewormer

Profender® (emodepside + praziquantel) Topical Solution for Cats is an easy-to-apply, single-dose, prescription-only dewormer offering broad-spectrum coverage. It utilizes a unique combination of active ingredients not found in any other dewormer for single-dose efficacy, eliminating the need for repeat dosing or follow-up treatment visits for clients and their cats.*

Profender® can safely be used on cats and kittens as young as 8 weeks of age and weighing at least 2.2 lbs. It treats and controls:

• Tapeworms Dipylidium caninum and Taenia taeniaeformis
• Roundworm Toxocara cati
• Hookworm Ancylostoma tubaeforme

In addition to treating adults, Profender® also targets immature stages of roundworms and hookworms for broad and deep coverage:

• Immature adults: A. tubaeforme
• L4 larvae: T. cati, A. tubaeforme

*Reinfection due to exposure may require repeat dosing. Profender® can be re-applied after 30 days.

Do not apply to broken skin or if hair coat is wet. Do not get this product in the cat’s mouth or eyes or allow the cat to lick the application site for one hour. Oral exposure can cause salivation and vomiting. Treatment at the base of the head will minimize the opportunity for ingestion while grooming. In households with multiple pets, recommend clients keep animals separated to prevent licking of the application site.

Stiff hair, a damp appearance of the hair or a slight powdery residue may be observed at the treatment site. These effects are temporary and do not affect the safety or effectiveness of the product.
