VETMEDIN is a versatile, first-line therapy for canine congestive heart failure (CHF). VETMEDIN has been shown to extend survival compared with treatment with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors alone and to improve quality of life.
When used from the start of clinical signs as part of a standard CHF treatment protocol, VETMEDIN keeps dogs going.
VETMEDIN is indicated for the management of the signs of mild, moderate, or severe CHF in dogs due to atrioventricular valvular insufficiency (AVVI) or dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).
VETMEDIN is also approved for concurrent use with other cardiac treatments (eg, furosemide) as appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
- VETMEDIN is recommended by the ACVIM as part of standard treatment for dogs with CHF.
- Well-known clinical studies have established that VETMEDIN can help dogs with CHF feel better and live longer.
- The QUEST study update showed that dogs treated with VETMEDIN required less therapy to maintain quality of life (QOL) than those treated with an ACE inhibitor.
